Entry requirements

With this qualification there’s no need for any prior accounting knowledge. This qualification will give you a solid background in single entry bookkeeping.

Syllabus and what you’ll learn

Access to bookkeeping: introduces the role of a bookkeeper and simple bookkeeping techniques.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand the role of the bookkeeper
  • Understand financial transactions
  • Process customer and supplier transactions
  • Process receipts and payments

These qualifications will enable you to go on to study further AAT qualifications. You can either go on to study our higher bookkeeping qualifications or our foundation level Accounting Qualification.
