Instructions for your demonstration

For this task you will participate in an activity where you can demonstrate good customer care. This may be a tutor observed role play or an observed work activity, for example serving customers in a canteen, or several brief activities based on different situations. The tutor assessor should observe the you with at least three different customers and then make a record of how well you provided customer care.

The tutor will comment on:

Comment on the learner’s observed demonstration of customer care generally, as observed. (AC 1.2)

Comment on the learner’s consistency with serving diverse and different customers. Wherever possible, customers in the observed role play or work situation should be diverse in terms of gender, age and ethnicity. (AC 2.1)

Comment on the learners ability to communicate positively with customers in the different situations observed. (AC 3.3)

Comment on the learner’s ability to listen and respond to customer queries, requests and complaints in accordance with the policies and procedures set, and made known to them prior to the demonstration. (AC 4.1)
