Assessment Outcomes –
1.2. Identify personal contributions made to effective team work.
2.1. Contribute thoughts and ideas at an appropriate time without talking over others in the group.
2.2. Use appropriate phrases and/or body language to indicate that s/he has something relevant to say.
3.1. Contribute to a team activity.
3.2. Identify the aims and objectives for the activity.
3.3. Identify the personal skills brought to the team activity.
3.4. Identify the skills that other members of the team brought to the activity.
3.5. Identify any changes that would be made if s/he took part in the same activity again.
Instructions for your group activity
There are 3 steps to this task:
Step 1: For this task, you will participate in an activity as a member of a small team. The assessor should observe this and then make a record of how well you have contributed to that team. Their record will be written in the observation sheet.The assessor should provide clear and specific examples of how you met these assessment criteria. (AC 2.1) (AC 2.2) (AC 3.1)
Step 2: In relation to the particular team activity you have been involved with, you will be required to write down the key aims and objectives for that activity. (AC 3.2)
Identify some personal skills you were able to help the team with and briefly explain below how you used two of these. (AC 3.3)
Identify some key personal skills other members were able to help the team with. Write down two such skills (AC 3.4)
Step 3: Think back over the activity and the team’s performance. Identify at least two changes you might choose to make, to help the team work even more effectively if they undertook the activity again. (AC 3.5)
