For this task you will observe a presentation by someone else. Complete the observation form attached, write down a few comments about a presentation given by someone else and say something that came across well. Also make a comment about something you think could be improved. To meet the Assessment Criteria, your comments need to be helpful to this person and written in a way that is not likely to offend them.
Tips for giving effective feedback
Feedback is a way of communicating one’s observations about the behavior, attitude, and performance of another person. It is a way to express one’s desires and expectations to the other. It is also a system to initiate an interaction about how to improve the current situation, resolve problems, and enhance performance.
On the other hand, an effective critique should reinforce positive speaking behaviors and build self-esteem. Begin by telling the speaker what you liked about the presentation and what they did well.
